Just VR4 swap it and leave it FWD. Your FWD transmission will bolt right up the engine with no problems. Swap a VR4 factory clutch or stage 1 clutch. You'll be quicker and faster than a VR4 because you'll have more power going to the ground and you'll be 500 lbs lighter. That pretty much the best swap for these cars.
